how to get rid of mosquito's
ok, does anyone know a homemade reciepe that they can share with me to get
rid of mosquito's, l keep on getting eaten alive at night, l live in
germany so there is loads of them and my mosquito net is't enough,

try and get hold of some citronella spray... they hate it.

repellant with a high percentage of DEET in it
How long have you been in Germany?? There IS indeed a speed
limit on parts of the Autobahn..funny you didn't know that.
-Anywho, they used to make those plug ins for electrical outlets & they
really work. Haven't been over there in a while, so I am not sure if they
still make them.
-Can you get window screen material? I know the Germans aren't big on
screens, but they sure work for me. NOT opening the window in Germany in the Summer is not an option either, most places do not have AC. So, get some of those plug ins & -if you can stand it, eat lots of fresh garlic. You can kiss ur dating life good bye though. -Drink beer, lots of it. Skeeters don't like the smell of German beer oozing out of American pores. -Look at the bright side, the German Summer doesn't last much longer. It is going to get too cold for them any day now.
Get a box of Bounce fabric softer run a sheet all over your
legs and arms and carry a sheet with you for later for some reason it
repells mesquitos.
Other than using insect repellents (one of the commercial ones
would be best), try using a fan in your room at night. They don't like the
moving air
Every year I get eaten alive too so I know how you feel. This
year I haven't had one bite . The reason for this is lavender oil. I love
the smell of lavender & since I find it relaxes me, I bought a bottle &
every night before I go to bed, I sprinkle some drops on my pillow &
bedding. I sleep with my windows wide open & am surrounded by water filled
ditches here in the fens & a big pond in my garden so prime mozzie
territory. This year, not one bite! The little blighters seem to hate the smell of lavender oil. Try to avoid insect sprays. They are primarily made up of organo phosphates which cause cancer. Who fancies sleeping in a room breathing in the stuff all night. Besides, it only kills the ones in the room at the time of spraying & not the ones which fly into ur room while you sleep.
Just do what I do.swat them with your tail.

Isn't that mosquito high pitched buzz awful at night? I hate
it. Mosquitoes breed in water so if you can, go round ur property to make
sure that there is no stagnant standing water such as found in litter like
tin cans, in permanent puddles where the ground could be levelled out etc.
Spray ur bedroom about half an hour before you go to sleep, not just into
the room but into the corners, under furniture, along the tops of curtains or blinds because that is where they like to hang out. I lived in the tropics for many years & nightly vigilance with the spray can worked wonders & I was rarely bitten once under the net. If you do not like to spray there are quite a few anti mosquito repellents, electronic etc. on the market you could try if you haven't already done so.

Mosquitos breed in stagnant, swampy areas, creeks etc.
including ur water barrel if you are storing water for ur garden so not
knowing what ur locality is like look to see if you can remove or alter
the potential source. The larva need to keep visiting the surface to
breath so you could try putting a thin film of oil, baby oil even, it
doesn't have to be car engine but the principle is the same. The oil film
defeats their breathing capability. Another option is to consider putting or encouraging fish into the water to eat the larva but not as well as the oil, they are alternatives ! & never introduce alien species into the natural water sources. Some people are more attractive to the mosquito than others perhaps you're one of the unlucky ones. And yes garlic sometimes works, we feed garlic to our horses as it is supposed to deter the mosies.
I also get bitten alive by the horrible things.
I use a plug in and they seem to work. I am sure you can buy them over
there too.
Also try to avoid sweet smelling aftershave/shower gel/cream etc
Keep farting, it will keep them away from you, also try eating
good food before you sleep coz like humans insects also have a right to
eat healthy food...especially when they are with their girl friends.
You can try lemon scented candles, they repell mosquitoes. I
also read an article on the internet about marmite & it said that if you
eat that regularly then the mosquitoes won't bite ya. I hate them too!
When I went on holiday to France, the local Bed and Breakfast
had this device plugged into the wall socket where it emits a fragrance
that keeps mosquitoes out of that room. Not sure if they sell them over
here though?

Hey! You can buy Mosquito repelent candles and light them while
you're outside,and also use a skin repelent containing deat,and make sure
you have no standing water around your house,that is only breeding ground
for millions of the critters. Buy candles with citronella.
DDT one of the most usefuly substances ever developed - but
also the most misunderstood.
honestly the best thing i use ( and have never been bitten
since i started) is garlic tablets. you can buy then anywhere
Try vitamin B1 suppliments
Live in germany sleep in a GAS chamber with an oxygen mask and
turn the gas on
